The role of the school counselor is to act as a resource and support for students, parents, teachers and administrators in dealing with the emotional, physical and social changes that occur during pre-adolescence and adolescence which impact on academic achievement. The counselors meet regularly with the teams to which they are assigned to discuss school and student concerns.
