Homework Center Guidelines
  • All students must come to the Homework Center prepared to work.
  • Students are expected to bring a silent reading book with them for times when their homework is done.  Choosing books or magazines from the library collection is acceptable.  Please return all library materials to their proper place.  A librarian will usually be present until 3:20p.m. Help with the location of resources or book check out will available until this time.
  • Computer and Internet use is only for school related projects or homework.
  • Talking may take place if the student needs help from a staff member or is collaborating with another student on a project or other assignment.  Excessive talking is not acceptable.
  • Any student having difficulty with a subject or assignment should seek after-school help from their teacher.  Homework Center Staff will help when possible but are not experts in every area.
  • Using the Homework Center is a privilege.  Students who chose to abuse that privilege will be removed and will spend the rest of the period in the Detention Room.  When necessary students may be excluded from using the Homework Center for a length of time based on the nature of their behavior.
  • This is a wonderful opportunity for students to get a jump on their homework, have a quiet place to work, have access to computers and the Internet, and receive support for their studies.  Please help to make it a success!!!
