There are a number of excellent web sites that promote reading and contain lists of titles of GREAT READS that are compiled by students and adults.
GREAT Middle School Reads is a list compiled by the American Library Association division ALSC (Association for Library Service to Children).
A search on your favorite search engine will uncover a variety of summer reading lists posted for middle schoolers around the country. Encourage students to select materials that they find interesting and appealing to THEM!
