The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for leadership and program development in the district.  This includes:

• Review and revision of curriculum that prepares students to function effectively in a 21st century global economy
• Support of instructional practices that are student-centered, engaging, and authentic
• Developmentally appropriate district assessment practices that allow students to demonstrate mastery of course content in multiple ways
• Professional development that promotes teacher growth, aligns with school and district improvement efforts, and results in improved student outcomes
• Promoting school environments that are culturally responsive and value diverse learners
