Employee Benefits

As part of the Business Office, the Benefits Department provides administration and guidance for employees and retirees who are covered by the Torrington Board of Education benefit plans.  Some of the benefits offered to eligible employees and/or retirees are health insurance, life insurance, and 403(b) plans.

We currently cover over 2,500 active employees, family members, and retirees under the Torrington Board of Education programs.

Cigna-This link leads to the machine readable files that are made available in response to the federal Transparency in Coverage Rule and includes negotiated service rates and out-of-network allowed amounts between health plans and healthcare providers. The machine-readable files are formatted to allow researchers, regulators, and application developers to more easily access and analyze data.

Anthem-The link (https://www.anthem.com/machine-readable-file/search), which you can add to your public website to fulfill the group health plan posting requirement, will be activated on July 1. The link will allow you to search for your files using your Employer Identification Number (EIN), as shown below.
