FAST Academy Vision Statement

As a grades 7–12 school of choice within Torrington Public Schools, FAST Academy envisions a learning community where every student is empowered to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. We are aligned with the Torrington Public Schools’ vision: To be recognized as a high-achieving, future-oriented learning community dedicated to embracing all people as individuals who contribute purposefully to our diverse and dynamic society. At FAST Academy, we honor the unique strengths and potential of each student. We provide a flexible, relationship-driven environment that encourages self-discovery, meaningful engagement, and lifelong learning.

FAST Academy Mission Statement

The mission of FAST Academy is to educate, empower, and engage students in grades 7–12 by providing a personalized, trauma-informed learning experience that supports the whole student—academically, socially, and emotionally. We are committed to helping students who may benefit from a smaller, more supportive setting—students who have faced challenges with attendance, behavior, or academic performance—reconnect with their education and redefine their success. In alignment with the Torrington Public Schools’ mission: To graduate all students with the knowledge, skills, ethics, attitude, and confidence to succeed in their future, FAST Academy provides the structure, support, and encouragement students need to thrive—both in school and beyond.
